Being involved in child protection, you see people torture their children and it is traumatizing.
It’s gets worse if you witness the impact trauma and terror have on a child in your caseload and you watch school and peer failure and how a child’s life is destined to play out.
Unhealthy children become unhealthy adults.
Caregivers harming children are troubled people that have suffered their own long-term traumas who did not get the help they needed to live a normal life.
It’s at least understandable when a broken adult proves to be incapable of keeping a child safe from harm.
It is not at all understandable to watch our government (any government) torture children by separating them from their mothers as a political statement.
Torturing 3, 4 and five year old’s is a criminal act and should be viewed as such.
Ours is the most cruel act committed upon children since the Japanese internments of WWII.
Japanese children at least remained with their parents through the nightmare of detention centers.
