In it I point out the irony of law enforcement officials having the ability to create a multi-agency task force for the purpose of apprehending Marcus Fisher. Yet, it appears, that agencies that could have saved Dae'von's life were unable to "coordinate" their efforts. Dae'von had complained to school officials, medical personnel, and social workers repeatedly. Family Services Director Trish Ploehn had pledged to make "better accountability of social workers a top priority." Apparantly, her workers must have missed that memo. It is time that we stop placing blame on budget cuts and overworked staffs. Blatant cases of apathy can no longer be tolerated.
